I’m Nick Garcia, a portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Miami.

I was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, where color and energy were everywhere. Photography was a family tradition. My father, Enrique Garcia, was one of Colombia’s most revered talents, and I grew up learning the craft by his side. For years, we shared the tradition of documenting Carnaval together, an experience that shaped my eye for vibrancy and celebration.

After studying at FIT in New York, I made Miami my home. I apprenticed with leading photographers, traveled the world, and refined my vision: imagery that is bold, colorful, elegant, and impactful.

“As I create, the visual aspect is always what calls my attention. I notice color, light, and texture first, then shadow and shape draw me in. Growing up in Barranquilla, surrounded by the skies and the Carnivals, my sense of color was formed early and grew into a true love for saturated tones.”

My work has appeared in publications including GQ, Maxim, Women’s Health, Billboard, The Guardian, BusinessWeek, Forbes, Town & Country, The New York Times, Modern Luxury, and Haute Living.

I have photographed campaigns for leading hospitality brands such as The Colonnade Hotel, The St. Regis Bal Harbour, The InterContinental, Marriott, The Shelborne, Turnberry Isle, and The Carillon.

Along the way, I have also had the honor of photographing Malala Yousafzai, Bon Jovi, Pelé, Usain Bolt, Martina Navratilova, Roberto Coin, Facundo Bacardi, Emilio Estefan, Jorge Pérez, Derek Jeter, and Adrienne Arsht.

Today, my focus is on creating imagery that celebrates people, bold color, and the finer details of life.
